Anyone who has worked in recruitment knows the reference check is the part that holds up an offer. You have the candidate and you have the client, and you are waiting on a former manager who has a full day of their own and has been asked to write about someone who left eight months ago.
CheckedWell is reference checking software that makes the referee's part quick. They open a link on their phone and answer in about five minutes, mostly by picking from options rather than typing. Their answers save as they go, so they can stop and come back to it, and if they are the wrong person to ask they can say so on the first screen.
The chasing is automatic. Referees get a reminder after two days and another after five. If there is still no answer after a week we let you know, and the link closes after two weeks so nothing is left open.
How a reference check works
There are four steps. You start the check and you read the report. The two in the middle happen without you.
